Introduction to Qabalah - Open class

 

This workshop will explore the the differences forms of Kabbalah. These include the following: most notably: Jewish Kabbalah , Western astrology , Alchemy , pagan religions (especially Egyptian and Greco-Roman from which the term "Hermetic" is derived), neoplatonism , gnosticism , the Enochian system of angelic magic of John Dee and Edward Kelley , hermeticism , rosicrucianism , Freemasonry , tantra and the symbolism of the tarot where the Mystery Schools have been most influential in the development of the occult interpretation of these cards. Hermetic Qabalah differs from the Jewish form in being a more admittedly syncretic system, however it shares many concepts with Jewish Kabbalah. It is most often transliterated with a 'Q' rather than a 'K' or a 'C', distinguishing it from Jewish Kabbalah and Christian Cabbalah . This class will explore all three forms of Kabbalah and how they apply from Ancient time to the present day.

The Power of Qabalah: Invoking the Tree of Life

 

This workshop will explore the symbolism of the Tree of Life as a framework for the journey into the Self and how it relates towards our mental and physical health. You will learn the basic tenants of the Tree of Life, the central Mandala of the Qabalah. This is a one-day intensive on learning the Tree of Life and how to use and apply the knowledge in a practical way in everyday life.

Introduction to Pathworking

 

There are three Major Arcana cards whose images, at first glance, seem intended to frighten us. Death, The Devil and The Tower have been the source of dire predictions since tarot began. But, along with Temperance, they come together to create a flashing mystical energy that leads straight to the light at the heart of the Tree of Life. This class is a rare introduction to path working the central esoteric practice of tarot and the Qabalistic Tree of Life.

Introduction to Astrology

 

Astrology itself is an effective tool for opening the way to accessing our spirituality. By understanding our psychological wiring (as objectively pictured in the astrology natal chart) we can accept and work with ourselves with more understanding and detachment. This calms the turmoil of the inner personality and allows our innate spiritual nature to emerge. And by understanding the psychological wiring of others through their astrological charts, we can more easily accept their unique differences without taking it so personally; we can learn to enjoy the variety rather than seeking to change others into an extension of ourselves.
